I was happy to see a massage spa open near my house. I always have to drive far to get massages. So I thought I would try Joy spa. The women were so nice but the massage experience was unpleasant. The woman started the massage by putting hot stones on my neck and shoulders. The stones were so hot That I could have sworn I was getting third-degree burns. The entire massage I was clenching my face because of how painful the massage was. I cannot think of one time the massage was relaxing. They charged me $60 for 30 minutes. Most massage spas only charge $40-$45 for a 30 minute massage. Not to mention, she walked in on me without knocking while I was putting my clothes on when it was over. I don't understand why she couldn't have waited for me to come out, I thought that was rude and impatient. The massage therapist also told me that my "back is crooked" to which I told her I have severe scoliosis. I also thought that was rude. I don't see this business lasting very long.
